OTP- A delegation led by Ethiopian foreign Minister workneh Gebyeu and Oromo Regional President Lemma Megersa in Asmara to find a durable solution in Oromo multi-ethnic groups.
The aim of the journey is to meet and hold talks with Daud Ibsa, leader of Oromo Nationalist movement, Oromo Liberation Front. The organization ideology is Greater Oromo with a vision of Oromo region to the rest of Ethiopia.
According to diplomatic source received by Ogadentoday Press, the meeting was organized by Eritrean Affairs minister Osman Salah and Top advisor Yemane Gebreab.
The sources added that the delegation has also met with ONLF, leader, Mohamed Omar Osman and top ONLF official named Faysal.
The source has not disclosed the discussion but said there is hope of negotiations, both OLF and ONLF has been in long time battle friends to reshape Ethiopia system and find political and justice fairness.
Ogadentoday Press confirms that in Oromiya regional has concerned the number of support growing in favor of OLF to be part of the new system in Ethiopia. The OPDO, Oromo People Democratic Organization fears power struggle since many Oromo who has been fed last 50 years for Oromia independence has still hope of their dream.
Although Oromo Liberation Front OLF, recently disclosed “ceasefire,” there have been incidents of violence in some parts of Oromo region of Ethiopia which has caused concern among Ethiopians in the region.
There are 10 political organizations in Oromiya region.
