New Somali Regional President calls for National Unity, peace and order
OTP- The new Somali regional president Axmed Abdi calls national unity and peace in Somali Region. Ahmed Abdi held in the past ministerial position in the region and has been serving a long time in the Somali Region politics. Ahmed 32 born in Garbo, Somali region district and graduated University in Addis Ababa.
Ahmed has called has the traditional leader, people, and politician to calm the situation and protect the Ethiopian constitution and added to protect the Ethiopian Ethnic groups living in Jigjiga.
The replacement has come after former President Abdi Mohamed Omar had a conflict with Oromo ethnic groups in the federal and regional. According to confirmed sources, Abdi and Dr.Abiye Ahmed have exchanged threaten in past during Oromo and Somali communal conflict.
Due to the past conflict, the Somali regional people became under target by the federal level which many people has considered as unfair and unjust using power as ethnic communal disputes.
Some members of Somali leaders and Diasporas businessmen who have formerly worked with Abdi Mohamed Omar have re-engineered the conflict in the profit of replacing all administration and getting assistance some of the OPDO members who persuaded the prime minister to use power replacement.
