On Tuesday (Ogadentoday Press) – The Ethiopian people in the country are celebrating heartily while they are in mood of silent for persecution fear, but many surprised why over 80% of Ethiopian people are happy to hear the news of death of their Prime Minister.
Millions of Ethiopian livings in western are organizing to welcome the death of Ethiopian Prime Minister after the Ethiopian government officially declared the death of Meles Zenawi without mentioning where and what he has died for.
May be Americans surprise why do Ethiopian are celebrating? But, Americans celebrated when they hear Osama Bina Laden death, they gathered and threw buds of flowers memorizing those who dead in 11 September attack.
Some like that, Ethiopians are celebrating, and they are looking forwards peace, freedom, democratic and justice.
Ogaden victims are in the heart of every Ethiopians, Zenawi killed in mid of 2007, a single day, 2500 civilians in Ogaden according to a locals living inside deep Ogaden nomads, they are killed in different methods, some are shot, raped, some are starved into death, some are poised their water wells.
Zenawi was Ethiopian leader since 1991, after Eritrean and Tigrey Liberation Fronts ousted Mengist Haile Mariam rule. He voiced as Ethiopian democratic Nation based on the constitution, analysts believe in that his promises failed and unfinished.
He became authorial rule; he controls state media, Intelligence, army, enterprises, and every single move that Ethiopia is taking. He banned International media, and referred them as unprofessional journalist while the state TV is only one for 95 million Ethiopians.
In positive way, The Ethiopian Prime Minister was strong leader in Ethiopia as many western countries see him, Zenawi also vowed to progress Ethiopia economically, and according to his plans, Ethiopia was improving economically.
He can be said, he was a championship of federalism system in Ethiopia, he ruled Ethiopia based on ethnic lines, composed of nine, ( Oromia, Ogaden, Tigrey, Amara, Beneshangul , Harare, Afar, Southern Nations, and Gambella).
Zenawi has sent his troops into Somalia in the late of 2006 to oust the Islamist in Somalia, Today some of his troops are in Somalia regions, Hiiraan, Bay and Bakool and Gedo Region in which the locals accused his troops as being of criminals, committing genocide in Somalia.
Zenawi has paralyzed, Ogaden people, he was no mercy for them, I eyewitness more than 100 of his troops slaughtering women and men, raping a girls, burning villages and looting the aid food provided by International organizations.
He committed a genocide that is unforgettable in the soil of Ogaden region; almost 50,000 of Ogaden civilians are killed by his troops named, Ethiopian National Defense forces, but locals call them TPLF cadres.
This was a response to Ogaden National Liberation Front, a liberation movement in Ogaden Region; Zenawi believed that Ogaden are backing the independence of Ogaden movement front.
According to human right Zenawi did genocide in Ogaden.
Some may say, he is better than other rulers, because, creation of federalism and states in Ethiopia.
Today Zenawi had gone, May I say, he escaped from Justice? May I say he will be punished in the doomsday? May I say what and why he did all for that? I will leave the answer for Ogaden and Ethiopan people.
According to British Newspaper, The telegraph , Meles Zenawi death a headache for the West, he death of Meles Zenawi, Ethiopia's prime minister has thrown his country into turmoil, but also raises questions over the future of the West's security policy for the Horn of Africa.
But, in 2006 and again in 2011, Meles Zenawi has been happy to take up the role of regional arms-bearer against Somalia, his nation's enemy since before colonial times.
In Sudan and South Sudan, Mr Meles has been instrumental in keeping channels of negotiation open between Khartoum and Juba. Ethiopian peacekeepers man the still-disputed border between the two countries.
The ONLF said Tuesday that Meles' death is an opportunity for a new government to "initiate a new era of peace, stability, freedom and justice for the people of Ogaden and not to pursue the failed policies of the past."
ONLF said in its statement that ONLF will continue to struggle for the rights of the Ogaden people to exercise their inalienable right to self-determination. ONLF will also work with any progressive open-minded opposition forces who are ready to recognize the rights for self-determination for all nations and nationalities.

In 1974 Meles drops out of medical school and travels back to the Tigray bush to take part in a nationalist revolt against the dictatorship of Colonel Mengistu Haile Mariam.
He helps found the Tigrayan People's Liberation Front (TPLF) in 1975, taking over as leader in 1989. He broadens its ethnic Tigrayan power base by setting up the Ethiopian People's Revolutionary Democratic Front (EPRDF) coalition, bringing in other ethnic groups.
May 1991 -. Meles and his EPRDF rebels arrive in the capital Addis Ababa. Two months later, an interim government is formed with Meles as transitional president.

1998-2000 - Ethiopia and Eritrea, which ceded from Ethiopia in 1993, clash over their border. Up to 80,000 people are killed in the war.
May 2005 - Ethiopians vote in what is touted as the country's first truly democratic election. The opposition Coalition for Unity and Democracy (CUD) gains huge support in cities and towns.
December 2006 - Ethiopia sends troops into Somalia to drive hard-line Islamists from power. Analysts say Meles was backed by the United States and the move underlines the close ties he has built with the West since ousting the Mengistu's government. Ethiopian troops withdraw from Somalia in January 2009.
In 2007 he attacked on Ogaden Region to root out ONLF after ONLF attacked a Chinese company drilling oil in the Ogaden Region. And his troops killed thousands of civilians in Ogaden as Human right examined.
August 21, 2012 - Ethiopian state television reports that Meles died of a sudden infection.
